Forget tweaking!
I’m putting some real muscle into it that WIP ….. lovingly, of course. Tough love.

And that goes for the running, too. Time to ramp it up. I’ll explain tomorrow.
PS:- For the uninitiated — do NOT fret about dear husband. W.I.P. = Work In Progress.
Hmmmm ……. then again ….. *looks at whip*
My Path: Green Lake, Tenderhook.
My Distance: 01:06:37 – however far that took me.
My Music: Biko – Peter Gabriel
Bare Sightings: Two nudies on the Nudie Dock. Sorry, camera battery died. Next time
I watched that little yellow float plane take off in a howling cross-wind. In this photo the pilot was guiding her craft behind that jut of land where she turned around and powered straight back into the teeth. She snaked like a sidewinder across those swift air currents – climbing higher into the mountains with each twist until she had what she needed to turn around.
Was it a ‘she’? Dunno. I like to think it was

Eve Says:
So, is that a self-portrait?
Yes please, next time you sight anything bare while jogging get pictures. I don’t have a life of my own you know.
Peggy Says:
I love coming to your blog and seeing such fabulous photos. Can’t believe that’s someone’s neighbourhood. At least I’m assuming—or you live out in the boonies somewhere. Either way, breathtaking.
Toni Anderson Says:
Posh boonies
Gorgeous scenery. And yes, that’s Loreth.
I hope the pilot was a girl? You ever been in a float plane? They are supercool. I love the windscreen wipers on landing. Seems so mundane
Loreth Says:
Of course that’s a self portrait, Eve! I have a wild imagination
And stay tuned for the Bare country pics!! I promise
Loreth Says:
It is someone’s neighborhood, Peggy — a very beautiful one. And like every neighborhood, it has both pros and cons … stunning Coast Mountain scenery and access to miles and miles and miles of wilderness on one’s doorstep is one of those pros
Loreth Says:
Toni .. helicopters are the extent of my small aircraft experience at the moment. Dh is the one who flies across the wilderness in the float planes — and has some hair raising stories to tell about it. I plan to rectify that gap in my expereince in the near future though
Has anyone heard Debbie Macomber’s float plane stories?? OMG’…. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in a long time
Toni Anderson Says:
I haven’t heard! I have some of my own LOL. Did I mention the nickel miners who been sacked and the downed plane we searched for on one particular flight??
Peggy Says:
Loreth, I noticed you didn’t list any cons. Phew. I hate to have my belief that the Rockies is heaven on earth, shattered.
Meretta Says:
Cool cartoon, Loreth! Is this what you doodle when you’re musing?
Are you long running tomorrow, or was today it?
Loreth Says:
Ah … I’m not divulging my doodling secrets, Meretta
