HE WAS ONCE A FISHERMAN …
… and he brought home the dinner.
Now he’s a fisher. And it’s catch and release. C’mon … how PC must a man get? I like my hero to be hunter! I want a man who brings home the bacon … er, fish. Why put hooks into the poor creatures otherwise? Just so you can put them back and do it again?
And guess where he’s gone this long weekend? FISHING!!! What’s the point if he’s not bringing any home? Oh, wait, there is a point …. I get more writing time
. And I love him even more when he gets back
My Path: Gee, I Like Your Pants (Seriously, someone in the municipality is naming trails in honor of Frank Zappa … and I know who it is
)
My Time: I forgot to set the timer
My Beat: Frank Zappa. Kidding. It was the theme from Mortal Combat. Guess I was having another Bombshell moment.

LOL at the trail name. I wish I had that kind of power.
And my DH wants to know what your DH has caught in that picture! Do tell?
Loreth Says:
Tell your DH it’s a yellow fin tunny (I believe). He used to do the deep sea fishing thing off Cape Point … where two bodies of water crash together in a mix of color and nutrients and fish swarm. So do big waves
And big sharks. Hmmn … now it’s little trout. Or salmon. And I don’t even get to taste them
AND he wears one of those rubber tutu things with fins!!! LOL. I must get a photo of him in that … OUT of the water. It’ll be almost as bad as him the bug shirt Toni made him buy before he went to Labrador
Toni Anderson Says:
LOL–I swear if he hadn’t bought the shirt he’d have been eaten alive–karma and balance. I saved him by Nature being a contrary madam !! I must digitize some of my labrador photos!! I have never seen so many mossies.
The fish looks good
Catch and release is OK–sometimes
The problem for fish I think lies deeper than just fishermen–though they’ve done their part in decreasing stock–and I know they wouldn’t have had they known the consequences fifty years ago.
But what happens to salmon homing if the water temps change? That’s one of the theories for decreasing returns, especially on the West coast. Fish follow thermoclines, thermoclines move due to that fictional thing called global warming, fish spawn in a completely different place than they would have years ago. One problem/pressure on them. I could go on for days.
Toni Anderson Says:
Ps. He’s super handsome BTW!! Very lovable!
