LIFE IN ALL ITS INNOCENCE … and vulnerability
A baby snowshoe hare spotted on my run today – and a beautiful day it was, the kind that makes your heart smile and ache simultaneously. The air smelled like wild honey, the sky was indigo at the far edges of space, the lakes still as glass. I saw a peregrine falcon, a little bunny, a skittish mole snake. I saw nudies basking like seals on a wooden floe under a balmy sun, paragliders soaring up high on thermals, children laughing and dogs chasing balls. And I came home to learn my uncle had been killed in a car accident.
Sometimes life has a way of knocking your legs out from under you.
Remember to cherish those close to you. While you can.
May your soul soar Oom Hans. May you rest in peace.

That’s awful. I’m sorry. So very sorry. I lost my grandmother I’ve rarely seen yesterday, and it’s horrible, but to lose your uncle, that’s horrible.
Lots of love with hugs,
-Kristen
Loreth Says:
Thank you for your thoughts, guys.
Kristen, I’m sorry for your loss. It’s never easy to say goodbye — even if a life has been long and full. My thoughts are with you, too.
