Winner’s choice :)

How to play: Send me a digital photo of yourself or a friend reading either; THE HEART OF A MERCENARY, A SULTAN’S RANSOM, or RULES OF RE-ENGAGEMENT. Let me know who you are, and what state or province you are reading it in, and if I can use the photo on my blog.

You don’t have to show your face if you don’t want to – like my friend Irene (in the example above) who was caught warming up in front of the fire in the skier’s hut last winter with Suzanne McMinn’s Intimate Moments. And if you don’t want your name published, that’s fine, too.

Photos should be sent to loreth.anne@gmail.com, and marked SHADOW SOLDIERS CONTEST. Don’t forget to include your name and location.

If you send a pic of more than one SHADOW SOLDIERS book, your name will be entered for each one sent — that gives you a maximum of three chances of winning. And for those who send a photo of themselves reading my December book, there will be a special Christmas bonus prize drawing :)

On Christmas Day, all names will be placed in a hat (yep, the one you’ve seen pictured on this blog before) and the winner will be drawn by honorable and trusty assistant DD#2. I will announced the winner here on my blog on Boxing Day.

At the moment, this particular contest is open to North American residents – because of obvious shipping issues. But if there are any non-U.S. or non-Canadian residents out there who want to play, please let me know, and I will look into arranging a similar prize of same value for possible foreign entries. Confused yet?

Depending on the numbers willing to play, your chances of winning could be pretty darn good :) And hopefully there is something here for both readers, and writers.

The Contest is now open. Let the games begin!!!

    Where is my camera ???

  2. Meretta Says:

WOW! Great contest, Loreth. I hope everyone says you can use their pictures. I’d love to see them on your blog!

  3. Bailey Stewart Says:

Ahhhhhhhh, I can’t take a picture of myself - my arms aren’t long enough!

  4. Loreth Says:

Sheesh Bailey — smartie pants ;). You’ll have to get original, use that wicked imagination of yours :)

  5. Heather Rae Scott Says:

    Loreth,

I don’t want to enter your contest, only popped on to tell you that you went to my old blog *gg*. The link above will take you to the new one on wordpress. I wish I knew how to link them–as in I gave your contest a plug, so I thought it would automatically show up on here in your comments. I probably did it wrong. I’ll pass on the kudos to Ann.

Thank you. Since it’s another publisher, I’m not allowed to speak of it over at eHQ. ‘-)

    “Rae”

  6. Loreth Says:

LOL, Rae … I should have gotten the hint from the ‘echo’ ;)

Off to check the ‘real’ one …

    And thank you!!

  7. Peggy Says:

Very cool. Must go out and find your book—as soon as I have wheels again. Second vehicle broke down and my little town doesn’t sell new books—used books, yes, in the thrift shop, but no new books. Argh. Can be very frustrating. Hate waiting.

  8. Bailey Stewart Says:

I tried, I can’t work the camera with my toes …

  9. The Eldest Daughter Says:

    Who is DD#2….ha…wonder who’s reading it RIGHT now….what about NOW…or wait…………………………………………………………………….. NOW!

I got another volunteer shirt….yes two!

    Rox

  10. Bailey Stewart Says:

Have you ever tried to teach a cat to use a camera? Ouch.

  11. Loreth Says:

Ah … DD#1, she surfaces ;). Nice job on the shirts!! And yep, I know you’re watching.

For the record, all, DD#1 is a trusty assistant, too. When she’s around :)

  12. Loreth Says:

tsk, tsk, tsk, Bailey. You’re not gonna have to sit out on this one, are you?

  13. Bailey Stewart Says:

Oh no, oh faithful author, do not despair - Bubba is an intelligent cat, I’m sure I can get him to learn it with only some mild contussions and a few stitches. ;)
