FOUND IN WHISTLER - LOST STAR

hawaii-locke.jpg

I know Terry O’Quinn (LOST’s John Locke) was in Waikiki when we were there — the entire LOST cast was reported to be at the Aloha Stadium for the U2 Vertigo concert the night before the Honolulu Marathon. But today he is here, in Whistler, in the snow. Dh spotted him. Why didn’t dh snag a photo? Because the poor man was being mobbed by autograph seekers.

This is where the actor apparently lives — on Oahu’s North Shore. Renowned for it’s big wave surfing and not a place to swim in the winter. The summer, however, is calm and gorgeous and Waimea Bay (where the photo below was taken) is said to be what drew O’Quinn and his wife to relocate to the North Shore. We didn’t see him there. All we had to do was come home ;)

How exciting. Glad you had a wonderful trip. So jealous. Hawaii looks beautiful.

  2. Meretta ~ American Title Finalist Says:

Who knew?! I hope he likes your snow! You don’t have any hatches kicking around your house that you could lure him in with do you? ;)

I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling (a bit) better. Keep resting when you can. More cyber chicken soup for you!

  3. Bailey Stewart Says:

    Glad you’re up and about!

Meretta’s right about the soup - but make sure it’s real chicken soup, with all of the fat. The protein/enzyme that acts as nature’s antibiotic is in the fat.

  4. Loreth Says:

It IS beautiful, Peggy — no doubt about it. Very touristed, but stunning geopgraphically.

I gather he’s no stranger to this part of the world, Meretta. Was spotted in Vancouver not too long ago. Lol at the hatch idea — hatches are all snowed under, down there somewhere with the bear dens, I’m afraid ;)

I’ve heard that about chicken soup, Bailey — that if it really is to work you need to cook the soup using the WHOLE chicken. And I’m betting the factory-raised-hormone-pumped foul don’t quite cut it either, eh?

  5. Bailey Stewart Says:

As long as the factory-raised-hormone-pumped fowl has fat, it’ll work.

  6. Toni Anderson Says:

*Snort* at the chicken fat :) I have visions of us all standing around a pot holding up a naked chicken comparing recipes with worried expressions on our faces.

Hope Terry is having fun. There were always famous people in St Andrews. Everyone from Michael Douglas, Clint, George Bush, Sean Connery, just oodles of people. Never saw any of them, though I nearly ran William down with my stroller in the rain once. Lovely boy ;)
