MEET YOU AT LUNCH …

What better place to spend a lunch-break?
1 hour and 35 mins. Skate skis. Hard snow. Groomed trails. Sunshine. Icy air. Lung-breaking hills. Knee-rattling declines. A good friend to share with. Priceless
Apart from the fact I am now falling asleep over my keyboard ….

THOU SHALT NOT …

Boundaries. Don’t they just cry out to be crossed — whether in series romance or thick powder snow? Sometimes the trickiest ones to traverse, I think, are those we impose on ourselves.
Cool thing about this sign is it stands about six feet tall … in the summer
DAUGHTER CONTAINED

Finally! Something to contain ze child.
This I needed years ago — do you think they come with lids??? (JUST KIDDING, ROX!!)

NORDIC SKIES

Soft metallic pastels on the River of Golden Dreams this afternoon — and one of the best runs of my life.
53 mins. Hard-packed snow. Yaktrax. Susan Agluklark on MP3. Now I can see my way through my next chapter.
Sometimes things just come together
RUNNING TO WRITE

Sorry — can’t help it. I know I’m on deadline but I just can’t stay away from my blog …. I need an outlet for the images I seem to collect daily :)
Bet you knew I wouldn’t last …
I ran today. About 55 minutes on hard-packed snow with my Yaktrax. In the sun! I haven’t run for a while, and after the fast glide of skis, I felt like a galumphing forest elephant.
It’s Mary’s fault. I found my fellow chapter member also shares my passion for running, and she’s twisting my arm for the SUN RUN in the very near future. Dang it. My arm’s so easy to twist …
Do you think Harelquin/Silhouette will sponsor us with T-shirts??? Running to Write …

BLOG BREAK

Hiatus
hi·a·tus (plural hi·a·tus·es or hi·a·tus)
- An interval during which continuity is suspended. Unexpected gap. A break or interruption in space, time, or continuity
[Latin hiātus, from past participle of hiāre, to gape.]

Regular programming will resume February 15 – once I’ve turned my new novel in. Please stay tuned ….
I also want to think about the reasons I blog. There are as many reasons out there for posting daily into cyberspace as there are authors. Take JA Konrath and Tess Gerritsen’s arguments, for example.
I don’t subscribe to Konrath’s view, and I do believe I know what my motivations are — but I want to return with clear focus.
Can you say in once sentence why you blog?
