A GOOD PLACE

good-place-fairways.JPG

The lower fairways. Looks flat as a pancake in the photo, but it’s one helluva climb from the village on skate skis to get here — well, for me, anyway. Especially with no poles (Irene’s idea of fun). The view back down Howe Sound, however, is reward enough. So is the crystal-sharp air.

I was here on my lunchbreak last week, while back home my phone rang. The message left was from an editor in New York, and the offer was for another book contract — part of a Harlequin continuity outside of series. The ‘i’s are not dotted, nor the ‘t’s yet crossed, and a deal is never done until … you know … it’s a done deal. But it looks like I have another project in the pipe for this year :)  I’ll post more details when I can.

Meanwhile — I’m thinking the fairways on a sunny day holds damn fine fortune :) :) :).

Plus … and this is a real plus … I wasn’t home with a mouthful of marbles just waiting to make a fool of myself at the surprise  — because believe me, this I have done.

I can talk just fine with food in my mouth, Toni ;) It’s the marbles I worry about.

Figurative marbles, Bailey ;) … and they manage to get there all by themselves.

  6. Irene Says:

Guess we have to go up that climb without poles more often.
Seems to bring contracts your way .
Wasn’t that your idea of no poles ?

  7. Loreth Says:

Oh, but Irene, it’s SOOOOOO much more fun to blame you, girl :)
