MELTDOWN

deluge.JPG

The weather — not me ;)

It’s monsoon season in the rainforest, which means WET. Everything. I had to boot my butt out the door for my walk today … but was rewarded by the sight of two Trumpeter swans and a Canadian goose feeding in an iced-off corner of Alta lake. It made my day. So did the gauzy layer upon mystical layer of mist, the sound of small birds giddy with delight in the rain … and the fact I was the only human around.

Now back to those titles …

I waited for the rain to stop all day on Saturday to go for a ski. I did not ski.
On Sunday I went on the classics in the rain - could not wait for it to stop, it never did.
I had a fabulous classic ski, my baseball hat kept the rain off my face.
I was so glad I went. Saw only one other human !

See? It may look awful — but it’s WORTH it :) :) Glad you had a good one. Doesn’t look like I’ll be back on the skates before season’s end … but may try classic if it snows tomorrow, as is forecast. Yay.
