STORY BOARDING
I’ve decided to make a separate ‘story board’ for each of the several projects I’m juggling at the moment. I prop one of the boards up on my desk – just to the side of my computer monitor where it constantly plays in my peripheral vision, and hopefully my subconscious – when I need to work on that particular project. I also tune into a playlist made to go with the story. So far, it’s helping me switch in and out :). So is Lincoln — spot his tail.
My playlists aren’t terribly creative at the moment (still working on that), but doing this serves as a form of mantra – a trigger to take the mind to a certain place, much the same as you’d use to trigger a particular state of self hypnosis. Well, that’s the hope
Finished my AFS forms for SEDUCING THE MERCENARY and THE HEART OF A RENEGADE today. Tomorrow it’s back to my single-dad-cop-horseracing book. I think I need to at least give it tentative tag, eh? Maybe that’ll happen tomorrow as I start to come to grips with the plot.
Until later …

Very nice
I do the same. And playlists start big and I whittle them down if something doesn’t fit, and then I look for specific sounds, themes in the music.
