GONE SKI-MING

gone-skiing.JPG

No comment on form, please! But this is where I’ll be for the next week or two … out of the ‘office’ and ski-ming. Plotting. On the hills, on the trails. With the skis and the snowshoes. Getting in touch with those girls in the basement.

I’ve been looking forward to stepping back from the computer for a few days. I have met my major deadlines for the year, and reached a personal milestone. Last week I submitted my 10th contracted novel to Harlequin/Silhouette, so it’s a good time, I think, to set some new goals for the coming the year.

Then again … those edits may arrive the instant I post this ….

    Hi, Loreth Anne

Congratulations on finishing your 10th book. Wow! How long has it been since you published your first?

I just had a glance at the pictures from the RWA 2007 Conference and saw a picture of Bailey Stewart there. Unfortunately, I’ve been to her blog as often as to yours. My life seems to be going from crisis to crisis. I just wish it would leave me some time to concentrate.

I really enjoyed “Seducing the Mercenary” tremendously. You can come up with such a hero anytime you want. He’s a complex and lovable character. I found your insights into African life especially interesting. So few of us know what is really going on there. I know your story is not intended to portray any particular incident but the glimpses we get of village and other societies is surely based on your own observations. We need to care more in North America about what the people there feel and what is behind their lives. I believe yours is a step in the right direction.

I also finally found the other books of the series. So I read them in the order of 4, 3, 1 and 2. So is the next book also a Shadow Soldiers adventure?

I certainly also wish you happy “ski-ming” for your next books.

Hey Ruby — good to see you!!!

And thank you so much for the feedback on my book. I truly appreciate it, and am so glad to hear you are enjoying the MERC.

Yes the next book, THE HEART OF A RENEGADE is also a Shadow Solvier adventure, this one set in the Pacific Northwest. It comes out in March 2008.

It was fabulous to finally meet Bailey!! She’s one special lady.

My first book came out in 2003 — MELTING THE ICE, a Silhouette Intimate Moments. It’s been a fun ride :)

Thank you for stopping by!! Hope you are well.
