MANHUNTER RELEASES SATURDAY!

Thank you Ellen and Hope for your fabulous EHarlequin reviews of MANHUNTER here and here. I really am thrilled with the feedback the book has been getting …. so far it’s been available via online bookstores, but Saturday, November 1 will see it in the bricks and mortar outlets. Can’t wait!!

I did some dirt-time of my own researching MANHUNTER last year. That included some tracking in my back forest, learning to identify prints ( It also explains the pink ruler I now carry in my jogging pack — I am hooked
). Above are black bear tracks found last Fall, before the snows came. The deepest part of the impression is made by the front of the bruin’s foot, but you can also see the faint heel shape fairly clearly in the print to the left of the photo.

Things of course get waaaay simpler when the snow flies. The above are bobcat prints found along my running trails. I’d never have known the cats were around in the summer. Winter tells all

‘A FIX OF LOVE AND DANGER’

I have been waiting with bated breath to hear what reader, writer, and fellow Canadian, Laurie Wood thought of MANHUNTER. I wanted her feedback especially since she has worked as cop in Canada, and not only that, she has lived in a remote Northern town with — in her words –” the long dark winter, the trackers, the police, and doctors who’re stranded with no roads out of there. You could only get in by bush plane from Timmins Ontario, and I can attest to the fact that a six-seater bush plane can give you a gigantic migraine.”
And these are her thoughts on her blog, WRITING ON THE EDGE.
Thank you, Laurie. I feel humbled.

Sometimes dark, definitely chilling …

I am honored by another awesome reader review for MANHUNTER.
“MANHUNTER is the sort of headlong rush that doesn’t stop until the very end. The action in this edge of your seat thriller is both fast and furious, with nary a dull moment. I just couldn’t put this book down!
Loreth Anne White pits man against beast both metaphorically and literally. Not only are Gabe and Silver defending against a serial killer, but both have their own inner demons to fight. And let’s not forget Broken Claw! Loreth Anne White does a beautiful job at depicting the inner struggles of her characters as she takes readers on a journey that is sometimes dark, definitely chilling, but with that bright rainbow of hope and happiness at the end. Highly recommended! “
Thank you so much, Debbie.

A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

Another reader review, this one from ‘rosebeauty16′ as posted on eHarlequin :-
<<I loved the whole walking on the wildside part of this book it made me stay on my toes all the time because you never knew when something was going to pop up. And also the dramatic scenes were very touching, it proves that you can over come anything, as long as your able to love.
Most memorable moment:
“she splayed her hands against his pecs, feeling the coarseness of his hair under her palms, the solidity of his muscle moving under supple skin. She ran her palm down his abs, fingers exploring the hard ridges, the whorl of thick dark hair that ran into his pants, meeting the hard leather of his gun belt
He pulled back suddenly, and her heart nearly bottomed out.”
My ratiation: 5 stars this book is the type of suspense I like to read scary and leaving you wanting more.>>
I am thrilled!! Thank you, rosebeauty16!!!

FROM A MALE READER …
AS POSTED ON eHarlequin:
Sergeant Gabriel Caruso arrived in the remote Yukon wilderness with one
goal: to erase all memories of the serial killer who had ruined his
life. But he soon discovered that the madman was hot on his heels—and
after anything that touched Gabe’s heart. Including local tracker
Silver Karvonen.
As Silver plotted with Gabe to stop their
predator, she matched more than wits with the Mountie. Even the icy
tundra couldn’t muffle the heat simmering between them. But for Silver
and Gabe, love could very well be a matter of life and death.
First, let me say I LOVED this book! I only just finished it tonight, but I couldn’t put it down either! Gabe is as real as they come. I didn’t understand what RCMP stood for at first, until reading it. Then I understood it, and loved it. It was a different type of cop, and a different read for this American reader.
Loreth writes realistic characters, and realistic settings. I could picture I was there, from the snow to the bear. I could feel Gabe and Silver’s growing attraction, though in my humble opinion, it took a while for them to come to it mutually.
At the end of the day though, this book will make a newcomer to the SRS line love it, and want more!
Lou Gagliardi
Published author and all around good guy
ADDENDUM: this review means a ton to me as it’s most interesting to get a male reader’s perspective on my hero. I don’t know if an author can ever be sure they’re getting it right when it comes to portraying the opposite sex, so I really do appreciate this feedback, Lou. Thank you! Especially coming from a guy with an interest in a law enforcement career.

MANHUNTER REVIEW …

Thank you Amelia at Cataromance for this REVIEW!!
“MANHUNTER cleverly depicts the danger which comes to the Yukon, as it stalks those who believe they have nothing to lose until what is missing in their lives is unexpectedly discovered …
The suspenseful aspects of the story are described in unnerving detail …. My desire to learn what happens next kept me reading every word with anxious anticipation. MANHUNTER is dangerously suspenseful plus emotionally affecting, and the unforgettable characters will long be remembered.”
