GETTING TO THE EDGE …

It was on a hot run in August, post RWA San Francisco, when the idea for TO THE EDGE hit me.  I had been invited by Adrienne Maintosh to come up with an idea for an eHarlequin Daily Online Read, and was turning some ideas over in my head as I jogged. Then across Green Lake I saw Edgewater Lodge, hulking between the conifers, and a hunting lodge in a remote region of Alaska was born — it would belong to RCMP Constable Annie Lavalle’s grandfather, a man she’d never met.  A man she never even knew existed. And it would be in the Bush region of that state, a last frontier of a last frontier. Totally isolated. And the only way in would be by plane.

A trot further down my running path revealed the plane that would take Annie into Wild Country. And suddenly I was there, in Alaska, and I could see my Mountie heroine stepping onto the tippy dock …

Chapter 2 of TO THE EDGE goes live Tuesday — to read one chapter per day of the Daily Online Read, click –>>HERE

And please do post a comment — I will be drawing a name each Friday from among those who have posted. The winner gets either a copy of MANHUNTER, a title from my backlist, or a title from one of the other fabulous Silhouette Romantic Suspense authors out this November — winner’s choice.
See you there!!
