NORDIC SKIES, THE DAY AFTER

Winter light has a different quality here. Beautiful. Monochromatic. And sometimes just a little claustrophobic for one raised in the vibrancy of Africa.
My Path: 56.13 mins Nordic Running
MP3 beat of note: Desomd Decker & The Aces – You Can Get It If You Really Want it.
My Writing: Not a whole lot of progress. Need weaning off election news.

In the dark

I hit a snag in my manuscript, and as I am prone to do in such situations, I hit the kettle fried potato chips in retaliation. Because this is simply not a sustainable solution (given several deadlines still pending) I was thus forced to hit the trails. Which were … gasp …. Dark and cold by 4:30 p.m. And insanely beautiful in a misty mystical dripping sort of way.
Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to take scenic shots in the rainy dark – but this was my attempt at capturing the snowy ski trails on Whistler Mountain reflected on the still waters of Lost Lake, and a thin slice of moon in the clouds above.
My Path: 54 mins Nordic running
Running beat of note: Bedouin SoundClash – When the Night Feels My Song
News of note: – MANHUNTER is being spotted in stores around North America.
