CAUGHT WITH THE MERC!!!!!!

ACS Tech, Cpl C Pater on the wing of a CF-18 fighter jet in for servicing at 4Wing Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada — caught reading the MERCENARY … and thus giving his lady a shot at winning the SHADOW SOLDIERS CONTEST!!! Now if that isn’t an image to leave you with for the weekend ….
And yes, Jess, seeing you expressed interest, the CONTEST will be opened to UK readers. Check back for details next week
In the meanwhile … wish me luck folks. I leave at the crack of dawn for the island, where I shall attempt the Victoria Marathon on Sunday. I started training as the snow crept back from the forest trails, and I finished my last training run through the crunch of gold leaves the size of dollar coins with the eerie sound of Canadian Geese gathering in formation overhead. Somehow, it seems fitting — the time has come … I don’t expect anything in terms of speed, but I do hope to go the distance.
I’ll be back Tuesday (I hope
). In the meanwhile — Happy Weekend all. And special Thanksgiving wishes to all my Canuck compadres
(Not exactly a northern tag eh? … but it’ll have to do. The alliteration works for me, and I’ve got marathon nerves challenging the brain)
